Healing Through Community, Education, and Multiple Modalities
The Humming Bird Space was created to make healing more accessible, inclusive, and community-centered. Through education, support, service, and diverse healing modalities, we empower individuals to reconnect with themselves and their natural gifts.
What We Actually Mean
The Humming Bird Space is a place where people can find support, learn new tools, connect with others, and discover what helps them live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
We understand that everyone faces challenges. Some people struggle with addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, loneliness, burnout, relationships, life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed by everyday life.
Others may feel disconnected from themselves, unsure of their purpose, isolated from community, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them.
No matter where someone is on their journey, our goal is to help them find support, connection, education, and practical tools that encourage healing, growth, and well-being.

🤝 Service
🦋 Multiple Modalities
What Is a Modality?
A modality is a healing approach, practice, or method that supports growth, well-being, self-discovery, and transformation.
Just as there are many paths up a mountain, there are many ways to support healing. Some modalities help us work with the body. Some help us understand our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Others help us reconnect with our spirit, purpose, relationships, and community.
At The Humming Bird Space, we believe healing is not one path, one teacher, or one modality.
Healing can happen through connection.
Healing can happen through education.
Healing can happen through community.
Healing can happen through nature.
Healing can happen through service.
Healing can happen through support, awareness, and learning new tools.
Every person's journey is unique, and what supports one person may look different for another.
Healing the Whole Person
We recognize that healing affects every part of our lives.
Physical Healing
Supporting the body through movement, somatic practices, breathwork, nutrition education, rest, nervous system regulation, and body awareness.
Mental Healing
Developing self-awareness, challenging limiting beliefs, learning new perspectives, reframing thoughts, and building healthier coping skills.
Emotional Healing
Learning to understand, process, express, and work through emotions in healthy ways through emotional clearing, peer support, mindfulness, and emotional education.
Spiritual Healing
Exploring meaning, purpose, connection, values, intuition, faith, nature, and personal beliefs in a way that feels authentic to you.
Energetic Healing
Supporting balance and awareness through modalities such as Reiki, chakra work, meditation, grounding, breathwork, and energy-based practices.
Modalities and Tools
A modality is the overall healing approach.
Examples of modalities include:
• Peer Support
• Emotional Clearing
• Reiki
• Somatic Practices
• Breathwork
• Meditation
• Sound Healing
• Nature Connection
• Mindfulness
• Education and Skill Building
Tools are techniques used within those modalities.

Our Philosophy
At The Humming Bird Space, we believe healing is not about becoming someone else.
It is about remembering who you are.
Our mission is to create a welcoming space where people can access education, support, community, practitioners, resources, and multiple healing modalities that help them reconnect with themselves and their natural gifts.
We believe:
• Healing happens within ourselves.
• Healing happens with each other.
• Healing happens in community.
• Healing happens through nature.
• Healing happens through service.
• Healing happens through multiple modalities.
Our goal is not to tell you which path is right for you.
Our goal is to help you discover the tools, resources, practices, and support systems that resonate with your unique journey.
Your Healing.
Your Way.
Supported By Community.
Heal • Grow • Rise • Connect • Thrive
How It All Started
Recovery is the best decision I have ever made.
Before recovery, I was exhausted from being exhausted. Sick and tired of being sick and tired.
In recovery, they say once you turn into a pickle, you can't go back to being a cucumber. Thank goodness. Because being a cucumber meant I was still sitting in the garden pretending everything was okay when it wasn't.
My thinking had become unmanageable. My solution was often to check out—whether through alcohol, avoidance, or trying to quiet the constant noise in my mind.
Okay, mostly alcohol, let's be honest.
It was all I thought about from the time I woke up until the time I went to bed.
Years before I found recovery, I developed severe vertigo. I could no longer drive safely, focus on work, or manage daily tasks the way I once had. I lost my ability to deliver mail because I couldn't drive or concentrate on sorting the mail.
I eventually found a job close to home where I could walk if needed. I was doing well. I was close to moving into management.
Then I hit another bottom.
This time, anxiety turned into panic attacks.
I spent years trying to hold everything together while feeling like I was falling apart inside.
I didn't think I could breathe on my own.
I drank to fall asleep.
I spent my days obsessing about alcohol and my nights trying to escape my own mind.
Every morning felt like a walk down the Hall of Shame.
Who did I call?
Who did I text?
What did I say?
How did I act?
What do I need to clean up today?
I even hid alcohol from my husband to make sure I had enough for the next day if I needed it before he got home from work with another bottle.
A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, right?
Except it wasn't funny anymore.
I had no life force left in me.
I was physically exhausted, emotionally depleted, mentally overwhelmed, and spiritually sick.
One of the most painful things for me to admit is that before recovery, my family often felt like they were getting in the way of what I wanted to do. I treated them like they weren’t important to me. I acted Iike it didn’t matter if they stayed in my life or not.
I wanted to alter my mind.
I wanted to party.
I wanted to escape.
I wanted relief from the constant noise in my head.
I carried resentment and used it to fuel my addictions. It was easier to blame circumstances, other people, and life itself than it was to look honestly at what was happening inside of me.
I spent years living as a victim of my circumstances.
Then one morning, after another night of drinking and another morning filled with shame, fear, and exhaustion, I woke up and wanted to die.
That thought had crossed my mind before.
More than once.
More than I ever admitted to anyone.
I grabbed a bottle, a few beers, a pack of cigarettes, and walked outside.
I sat there and searched for local treatment centers.
I made the calls.
I committed to detox and rehabilitation.
That decision changed my life.
Recovery gave me a foundation, but I quickly realized I needed more than simply stopping drinking.
I needed a new way of thinking.
I needed to understand my emotions.
I needed to challenge old beliefs and patterns.
I needed to become aware of unconscious behaviors that had been running my life for years.
After all, you don't know what needs to change until you become aware of it.
You don't know what you don't know.
Recovery changed everything.
Today, one of the greatest gifts recovery has given me is my family.
I genuinely enjoy spending time with my children and my husband.
I enjoy being present for the moments I used to miss.
I enjoy conversations.
Laughter.
Adventures.
And simply being together.
That may sound simple, but for me it is everything.
This is my life.
Not the life I thought I wanted.
The life I didn't know was possible.
Today, I am proud of my past because it helped shape who I am.
I am proud of my recovery because it allows me to walk beside others who are struggling and remind them that change is possible.
My story is not one of perfection.
My story is one of transformation.
And every challenge, every setback, every lesson, and every hard-earned victory has been worth it.
#WorthIt
As my recovery journey continued, I became involved in service work, sponsored women, and discovered the incredible power of community.
I learned that healing happens when we stop trying to do everything alone.
My path eventually led me to become a Certified Peer Support Specialist and Family Peer Support Specialist.
Through this work, I learned how to advocate for others until they can advocate for themselves.
To me, peer support is not about fixing people.
It's about helping people build skills, confidence, awareness, and resources so they can create lasting change in their own lives.
Give a person a fish and they eat for a day.
Teach a person to fish and they can feed themselves for a lifetime.
Along the way, I explored many different healing modalities, educational opportunities, and personal growth practices.
Each one offered a new piece of the puzzle.
Some helped me understand my thoughts.
Some helped me understand my emotions.
Some helped me reconnect with my body.
Some helped me reconnect with my purpose.
Together, they helped me rebuild a life worth living.
The Humming Bird Space was born from that journey.
It was created from the belief that healing often requires more than one approach.
People may benefit from recovery programs, peer support, therapy, education, community connection, spiritual exploration, emotional healing, service work, or learning practical life skills.
There is no one path.
There is no one answer.
There is no one-size-fits-all solution.
The Humming Bird Space exists to help people access support, education, resources, community, and multiple healing modalities so they can discover what works for them.
We provide wraparound support, encouragement, education, and connection.
We do not replace sponsors, therapists, doctors, treatment providers, or mental health professionals.
Instead, we work alongside them.
Healing requires participation.
Growth requires action.
Transformation requires willingness.
Whether you are navigating recovery, mental health challenges, life transitions, grief, isolation, burnout, or simply learning how to be human, we want you to know:
You are not alone.
Healing is possible.
And sometimes the smallest decision can change the course of an entire life.
Mine did.

Spiral Sessions
Understanding the Patterns That Shape Your Life
Many of us move through life reacting to situations without fully understanding why we think, feel, or behave the way we do.
We repeat patterns.
We carry old beliefs.
We react from past experiences.
We develop coping strategies that once protected us but may no longer serve us.
Spiral is a personal growth and awareness modality designed to help individuals identify unconscious patterns, limiting beliefs, emotional blocks, and conditioned responses that may be influencing their lives.
Through a guided process, Spiral helps bring awareness to the thoughts, emotions, experiences, and beliefs that shape how we see ourselves, others, and the world around us.
After all:
You don't know what you don't know.
Awareness creates choice.
Choice creates change.
What Can Spiral Help With?
Spiral may support individuals who are:
• Feeling stuck in recurring patterns
• Struggling with self-worth or confidence
• Experiencing relationship challenges
• Navigating life transitions
• Working through fear, shame, guilt, grief, anger, or resentment

What Happens During a Spiral Session?
Each session explores a specific area of life, intention, or challenge.
Together, we identify patterns, emotional responses, beliefs, and experiences that may be influencing your current reality.
The process helps bring unconscious material into conscious awareness, creating opportunities for insight, healing, reframing, and personal growth.
Spiral is not about fixing you.
It is about helping you better understand yourself.
Why Spiral?
Many people spend years treating symptoms without understanding the deeper patterns underneath them.
Spiral helps uncover those patterns.
When we become aware of what is driving our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, we gain the ability to respond differently.
Awareness creates freedom.
Freedom creates possibility.
A Whole-Person Approach
Spiral complements many other healing modalities, including:
🦋 Peer Support
🦋 Emotional Clearing
🦋 Reiki

Core Values Statement
At The Hummingbird Space, our values are the heartbeat of everything we create, teach, and nurture. Each principle serves as a compass guiding how we show up for ourselves, each other, and the land.
We honor Presence as the foundation of all healing — the moment we return home to our breath, our body, and the truth of what is. Through Authenticity and Vulnerability, we embrace the courage to be seen as we are, allowing raw honesty to become the soil where transformation takes root.
Every act within The Hummingbird Space is infused with Intention and Purpose, recognizing that conscious creation begins with mindful awareness and clear direction. We move with Gratitude, remembering that every challenge and blessing is an invitation to expand.
We believe healing is not a solitary act but a collective unfolding — one woven through Connection, Collaboration, and Compassionate Communication. Together, we cultivate spaces of trust, mutual respect, and deep listening, where each person’s medicine enriches the whole.
In Service, we offer our hearts and hands to the greater good — tending to the land, the animals, and one another with reverence for all life. And through Divine Timing, we trust the organic unfolding of every process, knowing that true healing happens neither too early nor too late, but always in perfect rhythm with the soul.
These values breathe life into our mission:
To create a sanctuary where intuitive, holistic healing can flow through all five bodies — mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and energetic — restoring balance within individuals, communities, and the Earth we steward together.
And they illuminate our vision:
To inspire a collective awakening through embodied presence, emotional truth, and the sacred wisdom of the body — awakening each being to their unique gifts and the ripple of healing they are meant to share.
At The Hummingbird Space, we live these values not as ideals, but as daily practices — reminding us that healing is not something we do; it’s something we become.
The Humming Bird Space – Core Values
Presence — We honor the sacred now. Healing happens when we slow down and feel what is real in the moment.
Authenticity — We lead with truth, vulnerability, and transparency — allowing our full selves to be seen and accepted.
Intention — Every action, word, and creation is infused with meaning and alignment to our greater purpose.
Purpose — We remember why we are here — to serve, to love, and to live in harmony with the Earth and each other.
Gratitude — We cultivate appreciation for all experiences as teachers, recognizing that every moment offers a gift.
Vulnerability — We embrace openness as strength and create safe space for emotional expression and transformation.
Connection — We celebrate our interdependence — between people, land, animals, and spirit — as the web of life itself.
Collaboration — We co-create through shared wisdom, listening deeply to the medicine each person carries.
Compassionate Communication — We speak and listen from the heart, using words that heal rather than harm.
Service — We act from love to uplift others and restore balance to the world around us.
Divine Timing — We trust the natural unfolding of life, honoring that everything blooms when it is ready.
We Are the Medicine
The Humming Bird Space exists because there is a need.
A need for connection.
A need for belonging.
A need for support.
A need for healing that extends beyond a single appointment, program, meeting, or modality.
We believe healing happens in community.
We believe healing happens through relationships.
We believe healing happens when people share their gifts, wisdom, experiences, and support with one another.
We believe:
We Are the Medicine.
No one person has all the answers.
No one modality works for everyone.
No one organization can meet every need.
That is why we believe in wraparound support.
Wraparound support means recognizing that healing often requires a village.
It may include family, friends, peer support, sponsors, therapists, medical providers, recovery communities, spiritual communities, educators, practitioners, mentors, coaches, and community members working together toward a common goal: supporting the individual.
Healing was never meant to happen alone.
What's Your Medicine?
Are you a practitioner, educator, healer, mentor, artist, coach, advocate, nonprofit, community leader, or someone with a gift to share?
We want to hear from you.
Tell us:
• What do you offer?
• Who do you serve?
• How can people connect with you?
• How can we collaborate?
Together, we can create a stronger, healthier, more connected community.
